This is the sort of work I help with.
What I do is called service design, experience design or human-centred design. When I do it, though, there’s a lot of drawing involved, so I call it experience illustration.
I care about designing the best possible experiences for people. My design tools come from comics, animation and storyboarding (that’s my background).
I try to use these tools in ideations, design sprints or one-on-one interviews to get people into an open, honest frame of mind, which is crucial for getting the result we need:
So the goal with experience illustration is pretty simple.
It takes a lot of hard work to create that environment, though!
